Veterans gain cash boost

STAFF at Sainsbury’s Cameron Toll have raised more than £5000 for veterans charity The Mark Wright Project.

Fundraising included a sponsored walk over the Forth Road Bridge, the selling of charity merchandise in store and a sponsored slim by a colleague, which collectively raised £5600.

In May last year, Sainsbury’s Cameron Toll customers voted for The Mark Wright Project to be considered to receive a year’s worth of support from the store.

Store manager Angela Allen said: “From the many fundraising activities that we’ve held, our customers have been the driving force in making our fundraising efforts for The Mark Wright Project.

“The money we’ve raised is really going to help a local charity that’s close to many people’s hearts.”
