Vet students demand a free bus service

HUNDREDS have signed a petition calling for Edinburgh University to provide a free bus service for vet students.

The bus would transport them from central campus to the Easter Bush Vet School.

Students took a public bus from Easter Bush and met with Dai Hounsell, vice-principal for academic enhancement, at the university’s Old College to present him with the petition, which has more than 500 names. Students association president Matt McPherson, said: “The move out to Easter Bush for our vets was a welcome one, but their new campus is inaccessible and expensive to get to.”
