Veg out with fruity hospital

MORE fruit and vegetables are now available at the city's main hospital in a bid to boost the health of staff, patients and visitors.

A specialist stall has been launched at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following an agreement between Consort, who built the hospital, and Balfour Beatty WorkPlace (BBW).

The stall, available every Wednesday at the hospital, encourages people to eat five pieces of fruit or veg each day.

BBW executive head chef Seton Steele said: "Eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day is essential to maintaining a healthy, balanced diet."
