Vandals targeting cars with corrosive liquid

POLICE in Tayside have launched an appeal for information after three cars were extensively damaged by a corrosive liquid in a series of vandalism attacks in three streets in Dundee.

The vehicles were vandalised between Saturday, 6 April, and Tuesday, 9 April.

A spokeswoman for the Tayside Division of Police Scotland said: “A corrosive liquid or substance was poured over three cars causing extensive damage to the bodywork. Vandals damaged a white-coloured BMW parked in Portmore Place, a blue-coloured Honda Civic parked in Greenlee Drive, and a blue-coloured Fiat Punto parked in Broomlee Road.”

She added: “Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or any police officer.”
