US computing firm picks Edinburgh

A US computing firm has chosen Edinburgh for its European headquarters, supported by a £240,000 grant.

Minneapolis-based enStratus runs a cloud computing operation which allows large-scale facilities to be accessed and shared by many users over the internet. Fiona Hyslop, the Culture and External Affairs Secretary, announced the plan.
