Upgrade for school pitch

A GRASS playing field at a Lothian school is set to be replaced by a synthetic sports pitch under plans put forward by council chiefs.

The playing field at St Peter's Primary School in Musselburgh would be replaced by a "third generation" artificial surface under the proposals. The scheme would also see floodlights erected.

The plans were submitted by East Lothian Council earlier this month, and are set to be considered at a future meeting.
