University award boost

EDINBURGH University's Informatics Ventures is celebrating after scooping a prestigious award for its achievements in using European funding to help boost Scotland's economy.

Informatics Ventures was judged best entrant in the European Structural Fund's Best Practice Award in the category 'Best Contribution to a Smarter Scotland through the use of European Structural Funds'.

It received the accolade for its work in bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and innovators across the country.
