Man ‘threatened to kill first minister’

A LOYALIST who made a 999 call to threaten the Northern Ireland First Minister had been on a drinking spree, a court heard yesterday.

Darren Scott, 34, from Croft Court in east Belfast, was remanded in custody by Newtownards magistrates. He was charged with threatening to kill Peter Robinson and improper use of an electronic communications network.
