Actor Eddie Redmayne looks set to be surrounded by an Oscar buzz at the premiere of his latest film in London, as he is tipped to triumph again.
The British star, 33, won an Academy Award in February for playing Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
His latest role as transgender artist Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl has created a similar buzz, leading to suggestions he may collect his second Oscar next year.
Elbe was born Einar Wegener and underwent a series of operations in the early 1930s to become a woman. She has been described by Redmayne as “an icon of the 20th century”, and “an extraordinarily courageous and brilliant woman”.
The Danish Girl, directed by Tom Hooper is due for release in UK cinemas on 1January.
