He was awarded News Picture of the Year for 'Combat Zone', showing a soldier signalling to a Chinook helicopter at Forward Operating Base 'Edinburgh' in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. And he won Features Photographer of the Year for a portfolio of six images, including the ones shown here.
