TV FAVOURITES such as Mr Benn, Bagpuss, Peppa Pig and Aleksandr the meerkat are to battle it out to be named Britain’s greatest animated character in a vote being run by the British Animation Awards.

Members of the public can vote now from a shortlist drawn television, advert and internet characters before the winner is announced on 15 March.
