Viva Espana as Spain tops best–value list for holidaymakers
Self-catering holidaymakers hunting for best-value destinations should head for Spain
but should shun
Cyprus, according
to a newly published price-comparison table.
A basket of 20 supermarket-bought household items, including alcohol, for a one-week holiday for a family of four cost £56.67 in Majorca, the table from Post Office Travel Money showed.
But the same items went for up to £104.29 in Cyprus.
The items in Brighton cost £89.08, putting the West Sussex resort among the more costly of the 12 European holiday regions that were surveyed.
