TV opera show wins Darius a Carmen role

TV TALENT show star Darius Campbell has landed his first major opera role in a production of Carmen at London's O2 Arena.

The Scottish singer – who first found fame in Popstars – will take the principal role of toreador Escamillo on May 23 after recently winning ITV's Popstar To Operastar contest.
