Trailer for Hobbit film The Desolation of Smaug out

The trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug by Peter Jackson has been released by Warner Bros.

The film, which stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, will premiere in December.

The second film in the Hobbit trilogy features appearances from Legolas, played by Orlando Bloom, and Gandalf the wizard, brought to life by Ian McKellen.

An Unexpected Journey, the first Hobbit film, grossed over a billion dollars worldwide after being released in December last year.
