Teenager held on suspicion of murder

Merseyside: A teenager is being held on suspicion of murder today after a 17-year-old boy was shot dead.

The boy, named by police as Lewis O'Brien, was shot inside a house in Huyton, Merseyside, yesterday afternoon.

An 18-year-old man was arrested last night on suspicion of his murder.

East Sussex: Detectives were today waiting to question a mother suspected of murdering her two young children before making an apparent suicide attempt.

The bodies of the boy and a girl, both aged under five, were found in a car in Mill Close, Heathfield, yesterday.
