Teachers’ union attacks pay plan

PLANS to introduce regional pay for public-sector workers risk discriminating against older teachers and those working in primary schools, a union has warned.

The proposals will leave schools in deprived areas struggling to recruit staff and will cut wages, according to the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL).
