Submariner accused of passing secrets

A ROYAL Navy submariner has appeared in court accused of passing secret coding programmes to an enemy of the UK.

Edward Devenney, 29, a petty officer from Strabane, Northern Ireland, appeared at the Old Bailey via videolink. He is set to face trial on 13 November.
