“Police confirm that at this time there is nothing obvious to indicate the cause of his untimely death and enquiries will continue.

“The police request that consideration is given to the privacy of the family and friends at this difficult time.”

Baggs, who was 21 at the time of his appearance on The Apprentice, was fired by Lord Sugar in week 11 of the show and gained a cult following for statements such as ‘I have to rein in my own extreme masculinity in this task’ and ‘I’m not a one-trick pony, I’m not a 10-trick pony, I have a whole field of ponies - and they’re literally all running towards this job.’

He was also monstered by Lord Sugar’s aide Claude Littner during the interview process of the show.

Baggs, who described himself as a ‘big fish in a small pond’ was told: “You’re not a big fish. You’re not a big fish - you’re not even a fish.”

In an interview with Isle of Man Today last week, Baggs spoke at length about the launch of his BlueWave firm’s landline-free Superfast 4G Home Broadband, which he said would revolutionise communications on the island. Read it here
