Stray cat births on spin cycle

A STRAY cat got herself in a spin after giving birth to a litter of kittens – inside her new owner’s tumble dryer.

The animal was found by owner Patrick Ambrose, 44, snuggled with her five kittens inside the drum as he went to load his dryer.

The cat lover had taken in the stray just four weeks ago after finding her wandering around in the back garden of his home in Birmingham.

The electrical engineer discovered the five new additions when he arrived home from work. He plans to name the five kittens Whirlpool, Bosch, Hotpoint, Zanussi and Beko – after famous tumble dryer brands.

Mr Ambrose said: “It was warm and dark in there. It’s not the safest place but luckily they were all ok.”
