Star's ears as sound as her rear with award win

FORMER Rear of the Year winner Charlotte Church has won a new title - this time for her ears.

The Voice of an Angel star was voted as having the sexiest female celebrity ears, with Dr Who actor David Tennant taking the men's award, in a contest run by the Royal National Institute for the Deaf.

Others shortlisted for the female prize were actress Kiera Knightley, singer Jamelia and TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, while the men who just missed out on the prize included presenter Jonathan Ross and singer Robbie Williams.

The RNID has now launched a search for the nation's sexiest pair of ears, with members of the public invited to send in a picture to be judged by the charity. It came as the charity continued its Breaking the Sound Barrier campaign to encourage people to check their hearing.

Susan Osborne, director of the campaign, said: "Ear of the Year Awards are a fun way to encourage people to think about how precious their ears are and how important their hearing really is."
