Siblings’ appeal in hunt for their parents’ killers

The son and daughter of a couple murdered at their home begged for help in finding their parents’ killers yesterday, saying the light had been “switched out” in their lives and their hearts were “broken forever”.

Michelle Kirwan, 39, broke down in tears as she and brother Avtar Kolar, 32, described the heartbreak caused by the death of their beloved parents.

Avtar Kolar Snr, 62, and his wife Carole, 58, were found dead on Wednesday morning at their home in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.
