Shooting victim to be laid to rest

Cabbie Darren Rewcastle, 43, was shot dead on the taxi rank where he worked with the mass killer. Mr Rewcastle is believed to be Bird's third victim.

Devon: Nursing failures and poor staff supervision were discovered at a mental health unit after a probe into the deaths of six elderly patients, a health regulator said today.

Poor care did not cause any of the deaths at the Harbourne Unit, in Totnes but "serious concerns" with its services for older people prompted a Care Quality Commission review.
