Screen tests leave driver credibility beyond repair

Snowballs, ducks and Susan Boyle compact discs have all been blamed for damage to cars.

In the duck incident, a mallard flew through the windscreen of a woman’s car, Autoglass reported.

The company was also called out last year to a driver who needed assistance after reporting he had cracked his windscreen using a Susan Boyle CD to scrape away ice.

In another incident, a snowball shattered a side window, while one driver summoned help after damage caused after he parked in front of a tee at a golf course.

One woman called the company to arrange a repair to a chipped windscreen but then realised her son had stuck a sweet to the inside of the screen.

A woman complained that “an evil pheasant” had stalked her and attacked her husband’s car, while another driver needed assistance after accidentally firing his shotgun inside his vehicle.

One man called to have a cracked rear window dealt with before realising that the problem was with someone else’s car and that his was parked close by.
