Scotland fan hurt after being hit by London bus

A SCOTLAND supporter was badly hurt on the way to tonight’s friendly match with Nigeria in London after being hit by a bus on the way to the game.

The man was struck by a double decker on Fulham Palace Road at around 7.30pm as he walked to Fulham’s Craven Cottage Stadium.

Police patrolling nearby raced to the scene to perform emergency first aid before an ambulance arrived.

Eyewitnesses said there was an “awful thud” before seeing the man sprawled on the pavement.

One said: “There was an awful thud and the sound of glass cracking then we saw the guy bouncing off the bus and on to the ground.

“He looked in an awful way-he was bleeding and unconscious.

“It was horrible, he was with his friends and they looked distraught.”
