His daughter, Alexandra Bradbury, said her father died on Tuesday night in California. Bradbury transformed his childhood dreams and Cold War fears into lovesick sea monsters, telepathic Martians in his series of stories called The Martian Chronicles, and his vision of a hi-tech, book-burning future in Fahrenheit 451. He also wrote the script for the 1956 film Moby Dick and penned episodes of The Twilight Zone TV series.
