Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood ‘staggered’ by ex-wife’s auction plan

MUSICIAN Ronnie Wood is in dispute with his former wife over her decision to sell the contents of the home they used to share.

Jo Wood, 57, whose divorce from the guitarist was finalised last year, is holding an auction next month in Beverly Hills, California.

A representative of the guitarist said Wood was “staggered” that his former wife was selling his Rolling Stones tour outfits, saying that they did not belong to her.

Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills announced that Jo Wood was putting band memorabilia, which she collected over the years, under the hammer as part of the auction.

It said that highlights of the sale were her ex-husband’s “stage-worn leather jackets and clothing”.

The guitarist said that some of the items in the sale had not been passed to his ex in the
divorce proceedings.

The couple split in 2008 after Wood, 65, left his wife of more than 20 years for 21-year-old former cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.

He is “staggered that some of the items being offered at the auction are clearly his personal belongings, which did not pass to Jo as part of the divorce proceedings,” the spokesman said.

“The tour clothes being offered belong to the Rolling Stones and are not hers to sell.

“Ronnie feels saddened that Jo has taken this course of action and wants the public to know he has not teamed up with Jo on this outrageous sale,” the spokesman added.

Jo was said to be selling many of the items that were left to her when their marriage ended, including a four-poster bed from the Surrey estate the pair shared.

The auction house said that the former model was also putting her own collection of memorabilia up for sale.
