Robbie boosts album sales

ALBUM sales in the UK fell by 3.5 per cent in 2009, despite a growth in digital sales, figures showed today.

Overall, combined albums market sales were 128.9 million. A "healthy stream" of releases from the likes of Susan Boyle and Robbie Williams helped sustain the market.
