£2m Lotto couple’s £10 meal celebration

A COUPLE who scooped nearly £2 million in a lottery windfall celebrated with a £10 meal deal at a local pub.

Driving instructor Steve Poole, 64, and his wife Gwen, 58, landed a £1,963,927 share of the Lotto jackpot in Saturday night’s draw. They toasted the win at the Lawnswood Arms near their home in Yeadon, Leeds, making use of a special offer of two main meals for £10. The couple, who insist they will not give up their jobs, aim to “see the world”.

“What’s going to happen in the future, I don’t know,” said Mrs Poole.
