£1.8bn – cost of those guests who won’t go

TWO in three Britons have had guests outstay their welcome in their homes – at an estimated total cost of £1.8 billion a year.

More than half of homeowners reported troublesome visitors had caused arguments between those they lived with.

A poll by Sheilas’ Wheels home insurance found the most costly culprits were grown-up sons and daughters, with the
average parents shelling out £465 per year on hosting their overgrown offspring.
