In pictures: Star the duck takes a sip of ale

A DUCK named Star can be seen taking a sip of ale, after accompanying his owner to a pub in North Devon.

Barrie Hayman, who adoped Star two years ago, takes the Indian Runner Duck along with him when he visits the Old Courthouse Inn in Chulmleigh.

Mr. Hayman said: “He just won’t leave me and so now we go everywhere together.

“I’ve not trained him to follow me, he just seems to like it and he is one fantastic duck - I’ve never known any like it before.

Barrie added that Star does not do well mixing with other ducks.

“He just won’t mix at all with the other ducks and became distressed when I tried to put him with them.”
