Pay rises slowing down

THE increase in take-home pay rose by an average of 0.5 per cent last month, its lowest level for six years, according to a report today.

Payments firm VocaLink said its take-home pay index, which tracks wage rises, had fallen 3 per cent in May.

Services sector pay growth fell by 0.4 per cent in May to 0.3 per cent.
