Paralympian postage stamps
Every British athlete who wins gold at the London 2012 Paralympics will appear on a stamp to be issued weeks after their victory, Royal Mail has announced.
The sets of six first-class stamps, showing groups of winners, will be the first time that a stamp will celebrate home- grown Paralympic champions.
The six-pack will cost £3.60, on sale from 27 September to 31 December. The Paralympics run from 29 August to 9 September.
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, who has won 11 golds said: “I’m delighted Royal Mail will be producing stamps to celebrate the nation’s gold medals at the Paralympic games.
