Oscar nominated Redman dies, age 96

Actress Joyce Redman has died aged 96 after a short illness.

The star died in hospital in Kent on Wednesday afternoon.

She had been ill with pneumonia. Ms Redman was nominated for the best supporting actress Oscar in 1965 after appearing with Laurence Olivier in Othello.
