MPs feel strain after expenses scandal

MANY MPs have suffered increased psychological strain since the last general election, finding the job stressful, especially in the wake of the expenses outrage.

Researcher Ashley Weinberg of the University of Salford studied more than 30 MPs and found they showed increased strain since 2005, while those with a pessimistic view of life were less positive about their job.
