Ministers accused of ‘cruel’ job cuts

Ministers have been accused of “cruel” behaviour, after civil servants responsible for the Olympics were warned 80 posts could be made redundant.

Mark Serwotka, of the Public and Commercial Services union, said: “This legacy from Jeremy Hunt is a new definition of cruelty.”
