Meat Loaf slips out of TV spot

Rock star Meat Loaf had to pull out of a live TV show yesterday, moments after viewers saw him messing around for the cameras.

The Bat Out Of Hell singer – promoting his latest release – was seen balancing a banana on his head as he awaited his slot on ITV1’s Loose Women.

But later in the show, presenter Andrea McLean told viewers: “I’m afraid that Meat Loaf has taken unwell.”

It is not the first time the US star has been taken ill during a public appearance. Last year, he collapsed during a concert and, when collecting a prize at the Q Awards in London in 2009, he appeared disoriented, which he later blamed on vertigo.
