‘Mass resistance’ by anti–cuts coalition

UNIONS, politicians, comedians and protest groups have joined forces to launch a new campaign against the government’s spending cuts.

The People’s Assembly is backed by Unite, the National Union of Teachers, the PCS Union, Labour and Green MPs and activists, with the aim of launching “mass resistance” to austerity. Organisers said a rally will be held in June.
