Man drowns off Kent coastline

A MAN has drowned and another was taken to hospital after getting into difficulties at sea, police said.

Emergency teams were called to West Cliff Road, Broadstairs, Kent, at around 11.40am yesterday after reports of two men struggling in the water. Both were rescued and one was airlifted to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
