Man in court over takeaway girl's murder

A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of a teenage girl who was shot in a takeaway restaurant.

Mohammed Smoured, 21, from Hackney, east London, was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey.

Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, also from Hackney, was shot through the window of a fast food outlet on 14 April and died two days later.

Smoured appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court yesterday as Agnes's mother spoke of her "great loss".

Safurat Ibrahim Inakoju said she was struggling to cope with the death of her daughter: "It's a great loss, it's not easy. She was a caring baby; she was my last baby."

Another man, Leon Dunkley, 21, from east London, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with Agnes's murder.
