Fraudsters hit UK for £30bn

FRAUD costs the United Kingdom £30 billion every year.

The figure, which is more than twice previous estimates, was published by the National Fraud Authority in its first Annual Fraud Indicator report.

Around 58 per cent of all fraud is against the public sector, including tax fraud which costs 15.2bn a year.
