Four killed as car hits tree

A CAR that crashed into a tree near Porthcawl, south Wales, killing four people, was travelling so fast it was ripped in two, a witness said.

Four men from Hampshire died and a fifth was seriously injured when their car hit a tree on the A4229 on Thursday night.

Early indications were the silver Vauxhall Vectra lost control and left the road.
