First series best says Downton star

Downton Abbey actress Elizabeth McGovern has admitted she was not as enamoured with the second series of the ITV1 period drama.

The second instalment of the drama, created by Julian Fellowes, was set amid the impact of the First World War and the Spanish flu pandemic of 1919. It received a more critical reception than the debut series.
