Fire service control room plans 'poorly executed'

THE Government came under attack today over its plan to replace 46 fire control rooms in England with nine regional centres when a committee of MPs said the plan had been "inadequately planned, poorly executed and badly managed".

The Communities and Local Government Committee warned an efficient system had been put at "substantial risk".
