England rugby player Danny Cipriani hit by bus

Cipriani’s club Sale Sharks confirmed today that he suffered concussion and was being X-rayed overnight.

Newspaper reports claimed that former England fly-half Cipriani, 25, was on a night out with his Sale team-mates when the accident happened.

Sale, though, have not released any further information about events.

Cipriani, who has previously played for Wasps and the Melbourne Rebels, is nearing the end of his first season with the Aviva Premiership club.

The Sharks, who were involved in a fight against relegation for much of this season, are now safe in English rugby ‘s top flight.

They have one league game left this term, at home to Wasps on May 4.
