Freedom, a charity attempting to reintroduce the endangered white-tailed eagle back into the wild, released the bird from the top of the Golden Gallery of St Paul’s Cathedral. In the 20-second clip, the raptor can be seen landing at the base of Tower Bridge. The high-spec equipment, provided by consumer electronics giant Sony, will help researchers accurately document the bird’s flightpath as part of efforts to reintroduce the birds into the wild.
