From Monday until 14 May, warning signs will be placed in hotspots across Scotland, particularly roads in the Central Belt.
The number of accidents involving deer has doubled on some stretches of the M9 between Stirling and Edinburgh and M80 between Stirling and Glasgow in recent years.

Hide AdOne seven-mile stretch on the M73 near Glasgow had 33 deer collisions between 2006 and 2008. Overall, there are more than 10,000 deer-vehicle collisions every year in Scotland.
