Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston to play villain in new Thor film

Former Doctor Who star
Christopher Eccleston is said to be in “final negotiations” to play the villain in comic book blockbuster Thor 2.

Thor: The Dark World is the sequel to last year’s hit, directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding god, and Tom Hiddleston as his nemesis Loki.

Former Home And Away star Hemsworth will return as Thor in the sequel, directed by Game Of Thrones’ Alan Taylor, alongside a cast reported to include Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba.
