Doctor joins former sidekicks in spin-off

NEW Doctor Who star Matt Smith is to guest star in The Sarah Jane Adventures, alongside the Doctor's former companion Jo Grant.

Jo, played by Katy Manning, will join fellow former sidekick Sarah Jane Smith and the Doctor in two episodes of the new CBBC series this autumn.
