Date for tragedy files disclosure

THE PUBLIC disclosure of the secret Hillsborough files will take place at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, the city’s bishop has announced.

The Hillsborough Independent Panel has analysed more than 400,000 pages of documents from 80 organisations concerning the disaster and will make public its findings in September.

The Rt Rev James Jones, Bishop of Liverpool, said: “I can confirm that the disclosure on September 12 will take place at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.”
