'Dadda' is first word for most babies

THE most common first spoken word is "dadda", according to a new survey – which also found that 95 per cent of parents remember their child's first word and the most common age for him or her to start speaking is between ten and 11 months.

But 4 per cent of children have not said their first word by the age of three, according to the YouGov poll of 1,015 parents.
